I am currently a second-year PhD student at the University of Surrey, where I employ mixed research methods, sleep measures and non-invasive neuromodulation to understand and reduce experiences of negative repetitive thinking in various populations. I started this line of research in 2018 during my BSc in Psychology at UCL, where I investigated the protective role of allocentric spatial memory in intrusive thoughts using a VR plane crash paradigm. In my MSc in Educational Neuroscience at UCL and Birkbeck College, I examined the role of individual differences in the transfer of cognitive control improvements to increased emotional well-being following cognitive training.
