Optimising our brain and behaviour

At Cognite Neurotechnology, we combine cutting-edge neuroscience and artificial intelligence to unlock the full potential of the human brain. Building on research conducted at the Universities of Oxford and Surrey, we use safe and painless neurostimulation techniques to enhance cognitive performance and learning. A key insight from our work revealed that individuals respond differently to brain-based interventions. To address this, we integrated innovations from computer science to create AI-driven technologies that personalise and optimise these benefits for each individual. Founded in 2021 by Professor Roi Cohen Kadosh, Cognite Neurotechnology Ltd bridges scientific discovery with real-world application.   • We used a technology that has shown no side-effects compared to placebo stimulation and has been used extensively worldwide on thousands of users with excellent safety and comfort.

  • tES involves extremely low-current electrical current. Research studies employ stimulation up to a maximum of 4 mA, while our system has shown efficacy with even lower strength, maximising comfort and increasing the benefit from neurostimulation thanks to our AI patented methodology.

  • There are certain specific subgroups (e.g. people with neurological disorders that may be exacerbated, with a risk of epilepsy, or with implanted electrical devices such as cardiac pacemakers) who at this stage should avoid using our product.

  • Due to the unique neurostimulation protocol we extensively tested, the experience by those who receive real stimulation is indistinguishable from those who receive placebo.

  • We use stimulation protocols based on research on thousands of people that have not shown any mental side effects. The possibility of user habituation over time has not been evidenced to date; to the extent that any evidence of habituation does emerge, Cognite’s personalisation software is uniquely positioned to address this.

  • We are following stimulation protocols that received stringent ethical approvals during research, and we when require we will continue to seek similar approvals going forward.

  • Our research is peer-reviewed and meets the standards of trial design and participant involvement required among international publications in the field. We are great advocators of evidence-based solution to benefits society.
